ZAIA sits on a dramatic cliffside promontory above the Pacific in La Barrita — an unspoiled stretch of coastline in Guerrero, Mexico, near Zihuatanejo. The estate spans 40 acres of private land that rolls from the clifftop gardens down through coconut palms to a secluded beach below, reached by a 10-minute walk along a winding path.
The architecture is Mexican hacienda in spirit — arched doorways, textured plaster walls, deep mahogany woodwork, and soaring timber-beamed ceilings — but the interiors feel like a curated home, not a hotel. Every room is filled with art, handmade ceramics, sculptural pieces, and objects sourced through Mexico.
ZAIA sleeps up to 18 guests across seven individually designed bedrooms. Five bedrooms have king beds; two have two queens each. The main dining table seats 20. The upstairs terrace seats 8–10. The pool palapa table seats 8–10, with room for more when the group gets cozy.
A full team — private chef, housekeeping, house manager, and security — ensures the estate runs seamlessly. There is a working kitchen garden and chickens on the property. A bartender can be arranged as much or as little as you'd like. Starlink Wi-Fi, an office with a printer, a small gym, and AC in every room are all included.
